New website to help you choose a career in Atlantic Canada

When I was in highschool, we had a class called “Co-op.” The objective was to start us on a career path. Part of the class was to apply to do a job shadow at a local business. At that time, my hometown of Middleton had both a newspaper and a radio station.

I decided that journalism sounded like a fun career. The local newspaper wasn’t able to take me so I then applied to the radio station and the rest is history. Very quickly, I discovered that radio was it for me and I never looked back. As the years went on, I realized how lucky I was to have both a clear career path and a mentor that helped me along.

Choosing a career (or switching careers) is a big decision.
