Inverness Co. asking local community to conserve water

Officials with the Municipality of the County of Inverness are asking residents of Judique to conserve water.

They say heavy rain has caused problems treating water from Rory Brook, so the community has been relying on its new reservoir.

Which reps say has caused water levels to drop below fire protection minimums.

They are asking residents to use less water; avoid taking baths, watering lawns, washing cars, cleaning clothes, or letting faucets run.

They say they are working to resolve the water treatment issue but have not yet given an expected resolution timeline.
