A man arrested following a traffic stop in Inverness Co. has entered a guilty plea in the case.
John Clayton “Clay” MacDonald, 78, faced a pair of charges- possession and possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone.
MacDonald pleaded guilty to possession during an election-and-plea hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; he was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
Police say they arrested a passenger when they stopped a car on Rte. 19 in Judique North and seized oxycodone in Aug. 2017.
They say they didn’t charge the driver.
