Inverness Co. Warden says Councillors looking forward to officially meeting new MP

Inverness Co. Warden says they’ve already spoken to their new MP unofficially, but now they’re looking forward to an official meeting.

After Thursday’s regular council meeting, Warden Betty Ann MacQuarrie said Mike Kelloway spoke with council at a meeting about a month ago.

She said that unofficial talk gave them a chance to fill him in on their priories.

MacQuarrie said she took the chance to bring up Inverness’s wastewater issues, and says Kelloway took them seriously.

“He certainly seemed that way in our discussion, you know that he would try, he’s aware and that he would try to help us out.”

MacQuarrie said she’s confident he’s committed to helping Inverness resolve its wastewater infrastructure issues.
