Cheticamp RCMP are investigating after a fire on Hache Rd Friday.
Police say at 9:50 p.m. they responded to a call with the Cheticamp Volunteer Fire Department and EHS.
They say a boat was on fire at a local business and the investigation determined that the fire was set by an Inverness Co. man.
46-year-old Blaze Anthony Basker of Inverness was arrested at the scene.
Basker was held in custody overnight and appeared in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court the following morning.
The Inverness man is charged with arson and failing to comply with conditions.
RCMP say Basker was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on January 19th.
Anyone with information on the arson is asked to contact Cheticamp RCMP or Crime Stoppers
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
