Inverness removes curfew by-law

Inverness has eliminated a curfew by-law.

The municipality says they’ve repealed a law where children under 16 weren’t allowed in public spaces between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

They say it was outdated as they continue to modernize their laws.

A mischief by-law was also removed because it was repetitive, and aligned with sections of the noise control by-law.

The changes were made at a meeting Thursday.
