The Cape Breton West Islanders of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League have added to their bench staff.
Former Islander player Garrett Lambke has been appointed an Assistant Coach.
Lambke will join Head Coach Nick MacNeil and defensive Coach Kyle Gillies for the 2018-19 season.
Lambke of Antigonish played two seasons with Major Midget Islanders and three seasons with the Pictou Crushers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League when they won the Kent Cup.
Previously Lambke spent the last two seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Nova Major Bantams.
Lambke’s brother Taylor is the head coach with the Strait Junior Pirates.
