It’s Lighthouse Day! Where Are The Best Ones In Nova Scotia? Here Are A Few!

There are so many great lighthouses all over nova scotia! Apperenly over 170! Which one is a favorite of yours to visit?

Mine might be Cape Forsu down in yarmouth! Here are some other favorite according to the internet!

 

Mabou Lighthouse (Inverness County)

  • Mabou Harbour

Louisbourg Lighthouse

  • Cape Breton
  • Site of Canada’s first lighthouse (1734).

Cape Forchu Lighthouse

  • Near Yarmouth
  • Known for its “apple core” shape.
  • ️ Offers 360° views from the lantern room

Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse (Peggy’s Point)

  • South Shore
  • One of the most photographed lighthouses in the world.

Sandy Point Lighthouse

  • Shelburne Harbour
  • ️ Walk out to the lighthouse at low tide

Port Hood Lighthouse (Inverness County)

  • Port Hood Island
  • ️ Near warm beaches and boardwalks.
