A woman from the Quad Counties is taking home gold.
Kristina Richard from Antigonish is competing at the 2019 Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.
Richard has captured a gold medal in the 4×400 metre.
She ran the first leg and started the race strong for her team.
Richard also ran to a bronze medal finish in the women’s 200 metre on Saturday and finished fifth in the 100 metre.
