Officials in the StFX athletics department have named their latest athletes of the week.
Justin Andrew, a guard with the X-Men basketball team, earned the male award.
Andrew scored 12 points and added four assists in Wednesday’s road loss to Dalhousie; he followed that up with 22 points in Saturday’s home win against UNB, and was named player of the game.
Jane Hergett, an X-Women track and field runner, is the female winner after she ran to a pair of first-place finishes at the SMU Open in Halifax.
Hergett set a new StFX record with a time of 1:33.89 in the 600m race, and also placed first in the 3000m event with a time of 10:05.94.
