There’s a temporary closure at a local emergency department.
The ER at Baddeck’s Victoria Co. Memorial Hospital shuts down between 4 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday; there was a similar closure in place Saturday into Sunday.
Health officials say the closures are due to a lack of physician coverage.
They say you can call 911 or visit another emergency department for any urgent medical needs; you can call 811 for non-urgent issues.
