Local hospital getting $1.2 million renovations

A local hospital is set to receive a share of $7.6 million in provincial spending.

The Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston, Richmond Co., is getting $1.2 million for renovations and upgrades.

Shirley McNamara, chair of the Strait Richmond Healthcare Foundation, offered her thanks for the dedicated fundraising efforts and generosity of donors, which she says make the work possible.

“The renovations at Strait Richmond Hospital will directly benefit the people and communities who access care at the facility.”

The province also announced they will be replacing the CT scanner, along with any associated renovations, at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish.
