Local lake closed by Blue-Green Algae

The Department of Environment and Climate change is warning of Blue-Green Algae in a local lake.

Lake Ainslie, in central Inverness Co., was confirmed to have Blue-Green Algae by the Department this afternoon.

People are advised not to swim in the lake, drink the water, or let pets drink or swim in it.

Blue-Green Algae can have serious effects on human health and can kill pets.
