Local MP says shooting will leave “indelible mark” on province

The Member of Parliament for Cape Breton-Canso says the country’s worst mass shooting will leave a mark on us all.

Mike Kelloway says his heart goes out to all the people affected by the weekend rampage through the northern and central parts of the province.

Kelloway told The Hawk Morning Show he’s mourning with everyone.

“It’ll leave an indelible mark on the province- it leaves an indelible mark on the families,” he said. “We’ll get through it, but my god, it’s a tragic and horrific situation.”

Kelloway said he’s proud of how we’ve wrapped our arms around those suffering the most.

He said he applauds the bravery of first responders in the face of the shooting spree.
