A pair of hockey players from Antigonish have been released from their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League training camps.
Sam Grant, a forward who spent the 2018-19 season with the Cape Breton West Islanders, was released from Halifax Mooseheads’ camp after his free agent tryout.
Goaltender Ewan MacDonald was reassigned from Cape Breton Eagles’ camp; MacDonald played 20 games with the Edmunston Blizzard in the Maritime Hockey League during the 2018-19 season.
