The Antigonish Bulldogs try to finish off their Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League playoff series on home ice.

They host the Pictou Co. Scotians in game five of their best-of-seven, Sid Rowe Division semi-final.

The Bulldogs lead the Scotians 3-1 after a 5-1 win at home Tuesday night.

Antigonish advances to meet the Miners in the division final with a win; a loss would force a game six in the series back in Trenton Sunday night.

The Cabot Highlanders open the Nova Scotia U16 AAA Hockey League playoffs on the road.

They travel to Truro to take on the Fundy Thunder.

It’s game one in their best-of-five, first-round series.

The Highlanders (11-9-1), who lost three of their last four to wrap up the regular season, finished sixth in the eight-team league with 23 points; the Thunder (13-7-1), who finished third with 27 points, won two of the three games between the teams in the season series.

Game time is 8 p.m.

The series remains in Truro for game two Saturday night.
