Halifax, coming off a home win against Saint John Thursday night, visits Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson, Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart, and Moncton.

The Mooseheads (4-4-0), who have won back-to-back games and four of their last five, are seventh in the 10-team Eastern Conference with eight points, two points behind Quebec for sixth, and two points ahead of Saint John and Baie-Comeau, the two teams tied for eighth; the Wildcats (6-2-0) are tied for top spot with 12 points.

It’s the first of nine regular season games between the Maritimes Division rivals.

Game time is 7 p.m.

The StFX women’s hockey team is in Fredericton to take on St. Thomas in AUS action.

The X-Women (2-0-0), who won their first two games of the 2019-20 season, are in a four-way tie for top spot in the eight-team conference with four points, two points up on fifth-place Moncton; the Tommies (0-2-0) are winless to start the season.

It’s the first game in the five-game season series between the teams.

Game time is 7 p.m.

The StFX men’s football team visits Acadia in AUS play.

The teams are at opposite ends of the standings in the five-team conference; the X-Men (1-5), losers of five straight, are last, a game back of Mount Allison for fourth, while the Axemen (5-0) sit in top spot with a perfect record.

It’s the second and final regular season game between the teams; Acadia won the first 54-19 in Antigonish in September.
