Local sports preview (Monday)

The Antigonish Bulldogs meet the Miners in the opening game of the Sid Rowe Division final in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League playoffs.

The Bulldogs (10-2-1), who eliminated Pictou Co. in five games in the first round, finished the regular season in top spot in the five-team division with 21 points, a point up on the second-place Miners (9-3-2), who swept the Strait Pirates in four straight in their opening round series.

Antigonish won three of the four games in the season series between the teams.

Puck drop at the Antigonish Arena is 7:30 p.m.

The series moves to Membertou for game two in the best-of-seven series Wednesday night.
