The Cape Breton West Islanders are hosting midget AA female hockey provincials at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood.
Two teams have advanced to the championship.
Cape Breton West and Metro East.
The provincial title game gets underway at 11.
St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles host the Charlottetown Islanders in an all-important game six in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs.
The Screaming Eagles took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven, first-round series with a win in game five in Charlottetown Friday night, putting the Islanders/Screaming Eagles on the brink of elimination.
The Islanders won the first two games at home March 22-23; the Screaming Eagles evened the series with a pair of home wins Tuesday and Wednesday.
Puck drop at Centre 200 in Sydney is 7 p.m.
A seventh and deciding game- if necessary- will be Charlottetown Tuesday night.
