The 2019 Millennium Cup high school hockey tournament kicks off in Antigonish Thursday.
There are three local teams in the six-team tournament.
The Dalbrae Dragons and SAERC Saints square off in the opening game at the Antigonish Arena at 5 p.m.; the host Dr. J.H. Gillis Royals meet Memorial at 6:30 p.m.
Action continues Friday; the semi-finals and championship game are Saturday.

There’s one game in the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League.
The Inverness-Baddeck Academy Rebels visit the Richmond Academy Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes (3-1-1) are tied with Dalbrae for second in the five-team league with nine points, two points behind SAERC for top spot, and five points ahead of fourth-place Eskasoni; the Rebels (0-4-0), who remain winless to start the 2019-20 season, are last, four points behind Eskasoni for fourth.
The teams have met once so far- Richmond Academy won 5-4 in Baddeck Nov. 11.
Puck drop at the Richmond Arena in Louisdale is 7:30 p.m.
The Halifax Mooseheads host the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Mooseheads (11-10-2), who have won three of their last four, and Drakkar (10-11-4) are tied for sixth in the 10-team Eastern Conference with 24 points, five points behind Cape Breton for fifth, and a point ahead of eighth-place Quebec.
It’s the second and final regular season between the teams- Halifax won the first 4-3 in overtime in Baie-Comeau in October.
