Low‑flying helicopter for mineral survey around Goldboro in May

If you live near the Goldboro Gold Project, NexGold Mining Corporation is giving residents a heads‑up about an upcoming aerial survey for mineral exploration.

A low‑flying helicopter operated by GeoTech will be visible over Goldboro, Isaac’s Harbour, New Harbour and Country Harbour.

They say the aircraft will be flown by specialized crew and will be carrying a survey coil suspended beneath the aircraft.

Flights will take place during daylight hours for four to six weeks, weather permitting, starting in May.

Last August, NexGold announced the proposed gold mine is expected to create about 735 jobs and generate more than 500‑million dollars in tax revenue.
