A 19-year-old man is dead after colliding with a pickup truck near Welton Landing.
Kings District RCMP says they’re investigating the fatal accident that happened on Wednesday, July 29, just after 5 p.m. on Highway 12.
Officers say the Chevrolet Silverado was travelling northbound when it hit the motorcycle travelling south.
The driver of the truck, a 47-year-old man from Ontario, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The young man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP closed the highway for several hours while their collision reconstructionist team worked to find answers.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers are asking anyone with information about the accident to reach out to RCMP.
