Man arrested in Inverness Co. drug bust scheduled for sentencing

One of two suspects charged in relation to a drug bust in Inverness Co. is scheduled to return to court Monday.

Police say officers seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Hwy. 105 in Port Hastings in Aug. 2017.

Martin Julian, 39, from Paq’tnkek and Ivan Isadore, 31, of Waycobah originally faced charges of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Both men pleaded not guilty in January; they were expected for trial in June.

Instead, Julian changed his plea to guilty; his sentencing hearing is in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court.

The Crown called no evidence against Isadore, and his charge was dismissed.
