Man charged in Richmond Co. drug bust expected back in court

A suspect charged in relation to a drug bust in Richmond Co. is scheduled to return to court Tuesday.

RCMP say officers searched a home in West Arichat in September.

They say they seized cocaine, hash, marijuana, cutting agent, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Police charged Jonathan Roger Vance, 26, with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and three weapons-related counts.

Vance pleaded guilty during an election-and-plea hearing in May; one of the weapons counts was withdrawn in July.

His sentencing hearing took place in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court in October; the judge in the case is expected to deliver a decision.
