Victoria County RCMP issued their first ticket under the new Cannabis legislation.
They say a check stop was conducted on the Cabot Trail in Nyanza on Friday where a driver had cannabis in his vehicle.
After a search the 64-year-old male driver was served a Summary Offence Ticket for Illegally Transporting Cannabis in a Vehicle contrary to Section 23 of the Cannabis Control Act.
RCMP say the Cannabis was readily accessible to the driver.
According to the RCMP, the driver was not impaired.
