Man, woman facing 26 charges after thefts in Port Hawkesbury

A string of thefts in Port Hawkesbury has resulted in 26 charges against two people.

A truck was stolen from a residence on Highway 4, and thefts from unlocked vehicles were also reported in the area.

The two were arrested last week after the truck was found by the owner with several items inside.

A 30-year-old woman from Lower Sackville and a 28-year-old man from Beaver Bank appeared in court.

The woman was released on conditions while the man is still in custody.

Inverness County District RCMP say there were at least eight thefts from vehicles, but there may have been more.

They’re looking for doorbell or dashcam videos from the area.
