The Selects (3-1-2), who lost for the first time in 2020-21, are tied with Halifax for top spot in the four-team league with eight points, four points ahead of Cape Breton and the Penguins, the two teams tied for third.
Halifax leads the six-game season series between the teams with a win and two ties.
