A 21-year-old Halifax woman has been sent to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Pictou County.
The Mounties say the collision involving a lone car happened just after lunchtime on Wednesday in Toney River.
Investigators found the car extensively damaged off the road and in the ditch.
The woman was a passenger in the vehicle.
The driver, a 22-year-old Pictou man, has injuries described as minor.
Investigators are working to determine what happened with Meadowville Station Road shut down due to the investigation.
