A man from Dartmouth facing numerous charges in relation to an assault in Mulgrave will spend time behind bars.
RCMP say officers responded to a home on Middle St. in the town after the victim suffered moderate injuries in April.
Brandon Jordan Lawrence, 27, pleaded guilty to assault, uttering threats, resisting arrest and six breaches in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Thursday; his remaining original charges were withdrawn.
Lawrence was sentenced to seven-and-a-half months in jail and a firearms ban.
