The co-owner of an incoming business in the area says he saw a gap so he wanted to fill the void.
Liam Brophy says Island Enigmas will offer a variety of card, board and tabletop games, along with a pair of escape rooms.
He says he grew up in Port Hawkesbury and wanted to provide a form of entertainment to the community that isn’t currently offered.
Brophy tells The Hawk it’s a busy time.
“We’re slow and steady chipping away at all things we need to do to get ready here,” he says. “We’re looking at opening on Valentine’s Day.”
Brophy says he’s had a lot of help from officials involved in the Start-up Port Hawkesbury contest; he was a finalist.
He says he has a lot of opportunities to provide a variety of entertainment and games, but they want to see what the public wants.
