New Fly Fisher Filming in Cape Breton

New Fly Fisher has returned to Margaree River

The popular fishing show is filming an episode about summer salmon fishing this week.

An episode was shot on Margaree River previously in 2014 and show producer Mark Melnyk looks forward to returning to the region.

That episode aired in the fall of 2015 and featured fall salmon fishing.

The Margaree River is said to have one of the most affordable and accessible salmon fisheries in the world, and sportfishing is a big economic boost for the river making around 1 million dollars a year.

The show airs in Canada and the US and various European countries.
