Due to the severity of Hurricane Dorian, NS Power are pulling their personnel off the roads across Nova Scotia.
At a media conference earlier today, Dave Downey, Nova Scotia Power Manager of Transmission and Distribution Technical Services and EMO Lead, says they will be moving their workers into a Safety Stand Down, keeping them off the roads except to deal with emergency situations.
Downey says in Western and central Nova Scotia, NSP workers will be off the road from Noon to 10 PM tonight, while in Eastern Mainland and Cape Breton, crews while stand down while Dorian progresses.
He says safety is Nova Scotia Powers utmost priority as Hurricane Dorian progresses toward and through our province, and urges both workers and residents to stay home and stay safe.
