With great sadness the family of Bobby James Roberts, age 44 announce that he passed away peacefully on Monday. August 10, 2026 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish with family by his side.

Born July 18th ,1982, in Antigonish the only son of Robert “Bob” Roberts and Valerie Yvonne (Boudreau) Roberts.

Bobby was predeceased by his mom, Valerie (2011), his grandfather, Ed Roberts (2018) and his grandmother, Margaret “Tutti” (Feltmate) (2021); grandfather, Murdock Boudreau and niece Olivia Yvonne Casey (2019).

He is survived by his father Bob, stepmother Janet of Canso; sister, Rachel (Nolan), Little Dover and niece Lucy; stepbrother, Dalton Richards (Xiao) of Beaverbank.

Also survived by his grandmother, Nina Roberts, Canso Seaside Manor; aunts, Pat Rhynold (Will), Rose Boudreau; uncles, Gordon (Greta) Roberts all of Canso; Joe Roberts of Pictou, Jerome ‘Nipper’ and wife Ginny of Canso, numerous cousins and extended family.

For most of his life Bobby battled many health issues and complications. He was a dedicated sports fan, be it hockey, football or any other sport. He followed their successes and failures. A lifelong animal lover, Bobby had a huge heart for animals of all kinds posting photos of his cats and other animals online.

A private family burial will take place in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Canso at a later date.
