It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald “Buster” Vincent MacEachern on February 6, 2026, at the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.

Buster grew up in Craigmore and was employed for nearly 40 years with the Nova Scotia Department of Highways. He enjoyed watching movies, playing cards and going to bingo games in Creignish and Port Hastings. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Buster is survived by his brothers, David and Malcolm, and sister, Mary Katherine “Tootsie”; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald V. and Florence (MacDougall) MacEachern; brothers, Bernie, Ralph, Robert and Angus.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Green’s Funeral Home, 507 Bernard Street, Port Hawkesbury on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 6-8pm. Interment will take place in the Spring of 2026 at Stella Maris Parish Cemetery, Creignish.
