Boudreau, Gerard Stanley, 65, of Arichat, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026 at St.Martha’s Regional Hospital, in Antigonish with his family by his side.
Born in Arichat, to Jean Marie Boudreau (LeBlanc) and the late Joseph Gerard Boudreau.
Stan proudly served for 30 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, with postings throughout Atlantic Canada. At the end of his career as an RCMP officer, Stan began a career of truck driving for Hillmans Transfer and then for Love Me Fish & Lobster. He enjoyed driving and being on the road, and would always come back with interesting stories to tell. He was known for his quiet strength, integrity, and always willing to help others. A gifted mechanic, there was rarely anything he couldn’t fix, but his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family. He especially cherished his role as Grampy to Ava and Grant, whose love and laughter brought him endless happiness. Stan will be remembered for his kindness, gentle nature, and the unwavering love he had for those closest to him
Stan will be missed by his wife Sandra Boudreau (MacDonald), Arichat; son, Andrew (Allison), Antigonish; grandchildren Ava and Grant; sister, Angela (Robert) MacDonald, West Arichat. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Loretta MacDonald, Enfield; brother’s-in-law, John (Sandy), Bedford, Hughie (Darlene), London ON ,Howard (Jean), Enfield, Donald (Cathy), Port Hawkesbury, Allan (Charlene), Lunenburg; sister-in-law, Darlene (David) Mury, Waverly, along with many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31 st from 6-9pm at C. H.Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat. There will be no funeral mass per request. A private family committal will take place in Our Lady of Assumption Columbarium, Arichat.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Martha’s Palliative Care Society, in Antigonish.
Our family would like to specifically thank Dr Rice, Dr Gillis, Dr Farrell, and Valerie Pettipas along with the caring nurses working in the Palliative Care Unit at St Martha’s.
