December 9, 1954 – April 9, 2026

Martin Michael Gracie (Dec 9, 1954-Apr 9, 2026) son of Martha Ann (Raney) Gracie and Joseph Leo Gracie (both Deceased). He was also predeceased by his brother, Peter on June 2, 2025, as well as his sister-in-law, Mona.

Michael always felt that family came first, and he became our walking calendar, as he was sure to remind us of a sibling’s birthday and made sure he passed along his best wishes as well.

His greatest love was spending time roaming the woods hunting. Michael also loved walking Point Michaud Beach, a place dear to his heart from childhood. Michael followed our Mom’s example of decorating at Christmas, over the top, but beautiful! As well he spent many hours over the years volunteering at the Richmond Villa; something he very much enjoyed.

Michael was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, L’Ardoise Branch #110 for over 50 years. He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Ann (Albert) Cook, Andrew, Mary Ellen (Wayne) Carter, Madelin (Billy) Brewster, Dartmouth; Joann (Ted) Vint, Quesnel, B.C.; sister-in-law, Louise, Best Friend, Maureen O’Connell; as well as nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the Palliative Care team at St. Martha’s Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion offered during Michael’s short stay.
