A study done at UCLA found that people said they would be more willing to be vaccinated if offered cash, anywhere from $25 to $100 seemed to be what it would take.
I admit, this sounds totally made up but some states are doing MUCH more than that.
Ohio will enter the names of adults in the state who get the COVID 19 vaccine into a draw for five 1 million dollar prize draws. They will also give away five college scholarships to teens who get vaccinated against COVID-19.
They’re calling it Ohio Vax-a-Million……..I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried.
Ohio isn’t the only State offering incentives to get the vaccination either.
In West Virginia, people aged 16 to 35 would be eligible to receive a $100 savings bond if they get vaccinated.
New Jersey announced a “shot and a beer” program for residents 21 and up to get a free beer when they get vaccinated. (lol)
The Kentucky Lottery is giving away coupons for a free ticket to adults who get their shot at Kroger or Walmart stores.
In Maine, you can choose from a free hunting or fishing licenses, LL Bean gift cards or other prizes.
