Pair charged in Inverness Co. bust have case adjourned

A man and woman arrested following a vehicle stop in Inverness Co. are scheduled to return to court in August.

RCMP say tips from members of the public led to the stop in Waycobah in November.

They say they seized a firearm, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

Theodore Basque, 45, and Doris Gould, 28, face trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking charges.

The pair from Waycobah, whose case opened in court in December, were expected for election-and-plea in Wagmatcook Provincial Court Wednesday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until Aug. 1.

It was also adjourned in February, March, April and May.
