Parking By-law reading and possible adoption for Antigonish

The Town of Antigonish is wanting to adopt a new Parking By-law.

It is to regulate the use of Town’s public streets, highways, and parking facilities.

The rules for metered parking, payment methods, time limits, electric vehicle charging spaces, seasonal and winter parking restrictions, and enforcement measures are established.

These guidelines are being made to ensure safe, efficient, and fair use of parking resources with the support of traffic flow and public safety.

The second and final reading to approve the Parking By-Law will be at the council meeting on January 19, 2026.

See the Parking By-law here.
