Pepper spray attack suspect has case adjourned

A teen charged following a pepper spray attack in Antigonish has had his case adjourned.

He was expected for a status hearing in Antigonish youth court Wednesday, and he’s scheduled for another November 6.

RCMP say the incident started as a verbal argument and then escalated to a physical assault on Notre Dame Avenue in March of last year.

They say three young men pepper sprayed two others.

A 17-year-old Nyanza boy faces two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

His case was referred to restorative justice in October.
