PHAST swimmers reach podium in Sydney

Members of the Port Hawkesbury Antigonish Swim Team took part in a Sydney meet.

11 PHAST swimmers competed Saturday and Sunday.

Matthew Penner had five first-place finishes- in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke, as well as the 50m and 100m butterfly.

Hannah Austen won gold in the 200m IM and 200m freestyle and the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke.

Mariah Austen was first in the 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

Emma Crispo won gold in the 200m breaststroke, Zachary Elsworth was first in the 200m IM and the 50m and 100m breaststroke, and Lily MacLean finished first in the 100m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

Meghan Hayes was first in the 200m backstroke and 50m and 100m butterfly.

Cein Kennedy won gold in the 100m backstroke and the 200m and 800m freestyle.
