Pirates earn three NSJHL awards

The Strait Pirates have received three Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League awards.

Cody Smith was named the league’s top goaltender for the 2018-19 regular season; he had a record of 22-2-1 with a .934 save percentage.

Taylor Lambke is coach of the year after he guided the Pirates to the best regular season record in the 12-team league, losing just three times- twice in regulation and one in OT- in 32 games.

President Adam Rodgers, general manager Tim MacMillan, manager Bob McCall and the rest of the members of the Pirates executive received the team executive award.

The Pirates, who lead the Sid Rowe Division final 2-0, play game three of their best-of-seven, second-round series against the Miners in Port Hawkesbury Friday night.
