Police issue emergency alert for missing 14-year-old girl

Police issued a local emergency alert for Molly Martin early Thursday morning.

The 14-year-old girl has been missing since last Thursday.

The alert says police believe she and 47-year-old Darcy Doyle were in Canoe Lake around 7 p.m. Wednesday, the alert went out around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

It also says the two are thought to be travelling on a green ATV, the police had previously reported they were using red or green ATVs.

RCMP say the alert was only sent to residents east of the Mira River.

Meanwhile, a group was handing out posters about Martin at the Canso Causeway for about 4 hours Wednesday.

Martin is described as 5′ 1″, 100 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes, a rose tattoo on her left forearm, and she may be wearing eyeglasses.

Doyle, from Mira Gut, is described as 6′ 0″, 190 lbs, with long black hair, a full beard and moustache, and brown eyes.
