Police, JRCC, DFO officials responding to boat grounded in Guysborough Co.

Police say their underwater recovery team is responding following a call about a fishing vessel sinking in Guysborough Co. Tuesday night.

RCMP say the initial information they received was the boat was sinking off George’s Isle., and four people were on board.

They say three people have been rescued, but one person has yet to be located as of about 1 p.m. Wednesday.

We have multiple reports saying the skipper of the ‘Fishermen’s Provider 2’ is still on the vessel, which is now grounded on Frying Pan Shoal.

Police say JRCC and DFO officials are also responding.

We’re awaiting further information from officials.
