Alert ended for dangerous man with weapon on south shore

An emergency alert has ended for a dangerous man with a weapon on the south shore.

In a statement at 9 p.m., Wednesday, RCMP said officers no longer believe there is a risk to public safety.
The alert was issued around 6 p.m. for the Chelsea area on Highway 210 and Old Chelsea Road.

RCMP remain in the area as they continue their investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-527-5555.

Call 911 in an emergency.
