Members of the newly-formed People’s Party of Canada have named their candidate for a local riding.
Billy Joyce will carry the party’s banner in Cape Breton-Canso in the upcoming federal election in October.
Joyce, a lifelong resident of Richmond Co., has worked in the fishery, forestry and aquaculture industries; he’s spent the past 10 years with Radio Richmond in Petit-de-Grat.
The Conservatives have nominated Alfie MacLeod in the riding, while Mike Kelloway will represent the Liberals.
