River Denys’ Colten Ellis, who was named the game’s first star, recorded his 18th career shutout to set a new QMJHL record; it was his seventh shutout of the season, tying the league’s single-season record.
Antigonish’s Sean Stewart was also in the Islanders’ line-up.
The Eagles (12-20-1), losers of eight of their last nine, are last in the six-team Maritimes Division in terms of points percentage, behind fifth-place Halifax.
Charlottetown leads the season series 11-2.
