River Denys’ Colten Ellis stopped 35 of the 36 shots he faced for the Islanders, and was named the game’s third star; Antigonish’s Sean Stewart was also in the Charlottetown lineup.
The Mooseheads (6-7-5), who split their weekend games, are third in the six-team Maritimes Division with 17 points, three points behind Acadie-Bathurst for second, and three points ahead of Cape Breton and Saint John, who are tied for fourth.
Charlottetown has won four of the first five games in the season series between the teams.
