The Eagles (24-14-3), who had their seven-game winning streak snapped, are tied with Charlottetown for fourth in the 10-team Eastern Conference with 51 points, two points behind Rimouski for third, and eight points ahead of Baie-Comeau and Saint John, the two teams tied for sixth; the Wildcats had Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson and Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart in the line-up, while Beaver Meadow’s Ryan MacLellan was scratched.
Moncton leads the nine-game season series 5-2.
