The Eagles (16-10-2), who snapped a three-game losing streak with the win, are fifth in the 10-team Eastern Conference with 34 points, two points behind Charlottetown for fourth, and five points ahead of Halifax and Baie-Comeau, the two teams tied for sixth.
Moncton has won three of the first four games in the nine-game season series.
